Day 7 has been a monumental day. Josie graduated out of the heat and light bed! She is now in a crib and can wear clothes for the first time. Chad and I had quite a time putting her in clothes:) She looked just as confused as we did. Josie reached her birth weight, so her feeding tube was removed (we think it is mostly in the cheeks:). She is drinking 6 out of her 8 bottles a day and the pediatrician thought that this might be all she needs to eat right now since she is getting bigger. We will give it a shot and hopefully they won't have to put the tube back in.
I spent the day at the hospital and Grandma and Grandpa Scott were able to visit one more time before they headed home. Chad came by at lunch again and we attended an Infant CPR class. Hopefully we will never have to use it, but it is good to know just in case. At the end of the day we visited with Josie's doctors and they said she may get to go home early next week! It is exciting to begin talking about going home.
More tomorrow...
