Well, we had a good night with Josie, but she experienced a difficult feed with the nurse this morning so we are staying one more day. Josie kept us up most of the night as she got used to quieter surroundings than the NICU:) It was still great to be by ourselves with her. The nurse took her back to the NICU around 4:00 to do a couple of assessments and give her a bath. Then at her 7:00 a.m. feeding she was given a different bottle and nipple and it just through her for a loop. Unfortunately, her heart rate and oxygen fell pretty low while she was eating, so the doctor wants to keep her here one more day. He isn't too concerned since Chad and I can feed her without these issues, but we decided to play it safe. The good news is she is eating like crazy and is now weighing in at 5 lbs. 5 oz. and is now 18 inches long. Today we are back on the correct bottles and are doing really well. I decided to post early, while Chad is rocking Josie, since our evening is still up in the air. We are still waiting to find out if they have a room for us to room in at the hospital again tonight, but hopefully tomorrow we will be headed home.
More tomorrow...
