We enjoyed a nice Easter with Josie by rooming in with her at the hospital most of the day. It was a new experience to have her off the monitors and be able to hold her when ever we wanted. Josie failed the car seat test last night due to a little case of the hicups, but we passed this morning with flying colors. Chad and I are staying in the hospital tonight with Josie in our room. The nurses are going to check in periodically, but we are basically on our own. It will be interesting to see if either of us can sleep or if we will be watching her all night:) Josie did great with her feedings today and is eating enough that we are moving to a 4 hour feeding schedule unless we have a small bottle periodically. Gramma Scott came to visit this afternoon and finally was able to hold Josie. It was exciting to see Josie with her gramma and we look forward to Grammie Stewart holding her this week, too.
Chad and Josie were able to return to their nightly reading this evening that they did during the pregnancy. Chad read Josie the Easter story and she really stared at him the whole time. It was very neat to see her so focused.
We want to wish everyone a Happy Easter! Also, we hope Eldor had a wonderful 80th birthday celebration with his family this weekend and we were sorry we couldn't be there to celebrate, too.
More tomorrow (hopefully posted from Girard:)...
