Josie made it through the night in the crib and maintained her body temperature well. This was the final step to go home, so Chad and I were very excited when we turned the corner to her hall this morning and saw her sleeping in the crib. Josie continued to do well with feeds today and now officially weighs 5 lbs. The doctor stopped by this afternoon and said they will discharge her on Monday! We are going to check back into the hospital tomorrow and room in with Josie until she goes home. They will remove all of the monitors and put her in our room over night. It will be really nice to spend the night with her, while we have nurses close by. It is hard to believe the end is near for Josie's stay in the NICU. I don't think it will hit Chad and I until we are walking out of the door with her. Grandma Scott is coming to Kansas City tomorrow to help us pack everything and move back to southeast Kansas. It will be so nice to get home after being gone for 3 weeks. Well, we are off on our last date eating out without a baby for awhile and celebrate the day.
More tomorrow...
