Ready to Move

Well, we are getting closer to moving day and are ready to get the show on the road. We are about 75% packed with just a little to do the last few days before we move. Josie is feeling great this week and seems to be healing well. Henry is fighting a minor skin infection, so the poor little guy is on antibiotics now. Otherwise, he is doing well, too.

Next Thursday is the big day for the move. Movers are packing up our house on Thursday and unpacking Friday. Hopefully by Monday we are reasonably settled. We are going to hit the ground running once we are in KC. The first Monday, Josie is getting fitted for her hearing aids which should take a couple of weeks to come in and then her first dentist appointment later in the week. We never considered the issues with teeth that come with not eating. Josie has a terrible time cutting teeth, but also since she doesn't eat she doesn't naturally have a way to remove plaque from her teeth. Her oral aversion also doesn't lend itself to enjoying having her teeth brushed. All this together, means we are working on our first cavity. We are hoping the visit won't be too traumatic.

I've included a list of signs we are working on that family and friends may find helpful. Sign language is definitely going to be a big part of Josie's communication, so it is time to share with everyone what we are working on. You can view the list here too: https://docs.google.com/document/pub?id=1QL5YgcRJ1VKltD8Nf3k_jPZV6nmJb5SqxPzrGOFDwJg.

The next post should be from the new house!!
