Missing Daddy

Chad traveled to Omaha this week to receive some training for work, so Josie and I are on our own. It is just not the same without him already, but we are able to connect on our computers. We are using Skype to make video calls so that Chad and Josie can see each other. We already talked to him today at lunch via video and Josie smiled and cooed for him. I hope it makes his trip a little easier, too.

Josie spent the weekend at the lake allowing her parents some time to ski. The weather was perfect and Josie tested out her swimsuit on the deck. She was of course bathed in sunscreen before she went outside:)

Last week Josie had her follow-up appointment with the urologist at Children's Mercy after her kidney infection. He said she still has bilateral hydronephrosis which basically means both kidneys have some swelling and fluid. He said hers is mild, but did put her on a daily antibiotic. Josie will stay on it at least for the next two months until we go back for another appointment. The doctor said it is something that will probably go away on its own, but can increase the likelihood for kidney infections.

This week we are staying at Gramma and Grampa Scott's so that we have some company and I am starting to pack for the big move. We are hoping the week will fly by and Chad will be home soon.
