Josie's early entry into the world caused us to reschedule her baby shower at PSU for this week. It actually worked out better since she was able to attend in person. Yesterday we went to campus for the shower and stopped by Grandpa Scott's office to visit. Josie was wide awake for the shower and entertained everyone. She received some wonderful gifts and great books that we are already reading.
In the evening Josie made her first trip into the storm shelter we had installed a few months ago. She was asleep when the tornado warning was announced, so we took her to the shelter sleeping in her Moses basket. She slept through most of the storm except for stirring a little when the hail started. We were so glad we had a safe place to take her. Luckily she slept right through the move back into the house, too:)
Yesterday Josie also tried out her new bumbo chair she received from her Great Aunt Patty. She really likes to sit in it but still needs a little head support. She looked like such a big girl. A big thank you to Aunt Patty for the chair...I foresee us spending quite a bit of time in it.
Today, we are going to hang out inside and hopefully get a few finals graded as I try to wrap up the semester.
