Josie celebrated the 8 week mark yesterday with a trip to the doctor. She weighed in at 7 lbs. 11 oz. and is now 19 1/4 inches long. She gained an inch in two weeks which was pretty amazing. She is starting to make real gains on the growth chart and the doctor was very happy with her progress. Unfortunately, it was also the time for her first real set of shots. She definitely let the nurse know she wasn't a fan of them, but calmed pretty quickly. I think they wore her out and she slept very well in the evening and last night.

After the doctor's appointment we headed to Pittsburg and Gramma and Grandpa Scott drove us both down to the lake. As you can see from the picture above, Josie had to tell Gramma about her shots and how upsetting it was. Chad was working on a project in Choteau, OK so he met us in Grove. Chad's folks and Aunt Charlotte are at the lake for the weekend, so Josie will enjoy spending some time with them. On a personal note, I did celebrate the 8 week mark by slalom skiing for the first time since last July. It felt great to get back out on the water and I think the Stewart boy's didn't think I could do it so soon:)

Hope everyone has a nice Memorial Weekend!
